Presents and demostrates principle and methods of formulating a plan for product development for industrial design oriented students.It is particularly concerned with the relationship between the project and materialization of products and organizations overall design strategy and policy.
ID 512 Advanced product development
Involves students in applying high-tech concepts for developing industrial products.Focuses on latest trends in high – tech products and their production technologies.
ID 531 Design evolution
An evolutional approach to design history with examples from ancient artifacts to industrial products and high technology with respect to human abstraction and evolutional theories.
ID 621 Product innovation
Application of technology for the innovation of new products.Application of systematic design methods to enhance creativity and develop innovative solutions.
AR 101 Introduction to Design
Introduction to different design tools and media;The elements of design and the fundamentals of visual perception;Two- dimensional composition principles founding formal configurations;Analysis of the precedents and understanding their fundamental design elements;Short-term studio studies aimed at creating connections between visual perception and analytical thinking.
AR 474 Architectural portfolio design
The course will work as a design workshop and it will include model photography techniques, instruction in computer page formatting soft wares and graphic design.Possible portfolio formats will be discussed.
AR 372 Case studies in design
Studies of creative solutions to material, structural and architectural design problems in the selected designs of contemporary architects with explanations of related structural, material, fabrication, and contruction terminology and some history of the processes described.
AR 363 Two dimensional techniques in presentation of architectural design
The course offers students fundamental information on graphical design to enable effective presentation of architectural projects. Characteristics of efficacious poster presentation, use of colour in presentations, suitable presentation techniques, importance and methods of placing emphasis on the concept of the project, and background graphics comprise the content of this course.
CP 463 3D Modelling for Planners
The objective of the course is to give students initial professional orientation in issues of 3d modelling for city & Regional planning.It will acquire an in-depth insight into the area of 3D and its specific considerations covering modelling, improved techniques and material creation to make their finished work look even more realistic. By the end of the course, students will be comfortable enough with the interface, workflow and basic tools of 3ds max to begin being productive.
